Per this thread on TGP (and others like it on other forums):
http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... ?t=1174672Not sure if anyone has or would order from them, but just looking out for ILF in case you have and are owed something, or run across something you want on the site.
TL;DR brief summary:
- owes dealers and customers many tens of thousands of dollars
- took pre-orders/deposits on many items without ever ordering said items from manufacturers
- took things on consignment then sold or traded them without ever paying out
- phone numbers disconnected, staff laid off, but website still active (and until today, you could still order things)
- dealers pulling out left and right
- new people coming forward every day to say they are owed money or product

Seems like a solid business strategy.
I wish there were more brick and mortar guitar shops locally... This kind of shit scares me.

I special ordered a new Carr Slant 6V from Fat Sound in 2009 and they neglected to pay Carr what they owed on it. Steve Carr and staff are such top notch dudes they ate the loss and drop shipped my head and 2x12.
Needless to say, Fat Sound lost Carr as a direct result of that debacle. I only learned that news myself last year.

Wow, that's nuts he was pulling that shit a few years ago.

The 6V ruled but a local dude was constantly nagging me to buy it for a little more than I paid crazily. It had custom specs he liked and he didn't wanna wait in so I eventually sold.
Here's the best part. With those Carr funds, I managed a custom Dunwich Metropolitan, Ampeg GVT15H, Orange OR15, and a buncha Emperor cabs. I'm happier now for sure.

I'd love a 6V but you can't argue with getting all that in exchange, haha.

Nah, it worked out well in the end. I haven't even thought about the Carr too much since but that all changed today after seeing this thread haha.

I'd like to have a Carr... but It's probably similar to my Bogner Duende... in the Fender Tweed area.
Never ordered anything at Fat Sound Guitar... can't comment.

The Slant 6V was sweet sylnau, more like a pimped out Deluxe Reverb design. Had a 4x6V6 power section with 40W/22W fixed bias/18W Cathode bias powerscaling. Plus it was all point-to-point, no circuit boards in sight, sexy ass build going on there!

The Bogner Duende looks great too, never tried one before.

The Duende has a lot of sag... which I like. Cross between a Tweed and a Twin... but darker.
I posted some pic yesterday in the amp thread.

I wanna Carr Raleigh or some combo like that with a 15" speaker. Just sayin'. Now that'd be PHAT.

I saw this thread and confused fat sound with fat tone. I've ordered several pedals from fat tone guitars and never had a problem.
