Who likes dem old peaveys?

I got my eyes on an immaculate peavey combo 300, with 15" black widow speaker. $100. I have briefly tried out the latter tnt series and it was a blast...but this dinosaur might take the cake.
Anyone got an idea of how versatile this is with bass, guitar, keys, drone machines?

I had a RockMaster head for a long while, its foomanfat's now. It was loud, versitle, reliable, and cheap as shit. And that in my book makes a winner

I have owned bandits and classic VT's and a sessionbass head and they all crushed it

I love my 1975 Peavey bass setup; the 215 uses Black Widows too. Gotta turn up the treblies for guitar use but it sounds good to me.

rocked a peavey century bass head through an ampeg 8x10 all through college... loud, clean, and built like a tank.
buddy of mine had a classic 30 4x10, really dug that guy and would probably have one myself if i had the space / time to play it.

I like old peaveys, they're solid and sound pretty decent. Used to use this huge old combo for bass and that thing fuckin ripped.

Damn!.
Bastard sold it just before I arrived....asspick fucktard. Drove all the way there too.....disappointment. Gas unfulfilled. Old 300watt peavy lust still there.

I used to play with a bassist who had an old Peavey head. We all thought it was junk, but honestly it always sounded good. No clue what kind it was though.

This one isn't mine, but it's similar. HUGE PICTURE!
I got this at GC last month. It was listed as Classic 50, but I noticed the 4 6l6s, so I opened it up and all the pots dated it to '72.
With a little research, I've found that it's a NMV Peavey Vintage Tweed.
It sounds angelic!
