OBVIOUSLY we all use a power supply whenever possible...but for those few speshul efx that are 9-volt battery power only, what brand/type do you guys find best for longevity?

Good question.

For longevity, you'll probably have to go alkaline?

I've no idea about brands though, I usually just use the free batteries that come with the pedals.

Energizer Alkaline 9V's are pretty awesome. Accidentally left my WSoU plugged in one night and the battery survived for months after

The obvious choice:

In reality, I just use one of those adapter clips that comes with a onespot and leave the battery door cover off.

Yeah, that's a smart trick (leaving the cover off, not the Mike Matthews flexing). Unfortunately I've also got a few positive ground pedals that don't do daisy chains, so they end up batt. powered if I don't feel like dragging another adapter.

If they are supposed to be "ol school" Danelectro makes some cool Zinc Batteries I got at G.C... The Alkaline are a lot "hotter" than the Zinc and certain pedals like Non-Alkaline batteries better, Fuzz...

Dollar store batteries man

near-dead battery toanz right out of the pack.

They're kinda big though, so they don't actually fit in some pedals.

These, they last years. They come/came in EHX pedals that use batteries.

Longevity? Look to the mAh rating.

If you have higher current drains then start considering different storage types of battery.
