We're going to bring back the Cleanness with a small run in 2013, see how it goes. I miss building it, always liked it lots, and I think it's still a useful pedal even with the Elements out there. It's smaller and simpler and cheaper and I really think people buy the Elements to get themselves a killer distortion pedal... so they still need an equalizer/booster pedal!

So here's what the Cleanness shall look like in its new form.. I added a wet/dry mix and exp jack for it, that's what the 6th knob is. We don't have a plan yet for the first finish but we'll probably do 100 and see if it flies. In 2013 the Elements will go to $235 and the Cleanness will be $200.



Here's the insides, I'll do these pcbs by hand.



Useful for active equalization of nice musical frequencies (100Hz, 800Hz, shelving treble), about 20dB of clean boost, master volume can be used to de-gain an amp channel, has a big impact on other fuzz/dirt pedals and high gain amp channels, wet/dry mix to blend the big impact, works in effects loops, soft touch switching, lifetime warranty, whocouldaskforanythingmoreyou'regonnaloveit!

Nope, not really. It can be a little smaller and simpler and cheaper than the Elements but that's it.

There's a couple small differences in the eq stages setup between the Elements and the Cleanness.. the Elements is organized to sound best with high gain so I put the midrange stage before the gain stages, bass and treble afterwards. The Cleanness is set up more like a normal equalizer would be with the eq stages in a row before the single gain stage. Does that make a huge difference to the sound? Probably not but I haven't really compared the two side by side.. but still, probably not, it's really more important for high gain.

I realize it's redundant but I just feel a calling to make some more Cleannesses.. I'll try to get their price as low as possible to separate them more from the Elements...
