And if so, how the shit does one get to the brighton music hall?

My memory of Allston is full of beer and debauchery, but not directions/locations.

I unfortunately can't go, but i could definitely give you kickass directions, I know right where that is. Are you going to to be taking the T, or are you driving in? Via 93 or the Pike?

Probably driving via 93 into town, but I've got a place on the red line where I can stash my car if the T is easier.

The T makes it easy, but it closes down a little after midnight, which can be shitty if you lose track of time. If you take the T, switch over to the green line at park street, and then take the B line of the green line to Harvard ave. When you get off the train, go north up harvard ave two blocks to Brighton Ave. The Brighton Music hall is right there on your left.

If you want to drive all the way in, get off at storrow dr. Take Storrow dr to the exit for Kenmore sq. Turn right on Commonwealth Ave. In like a mile or so, Commonwealth turns left, stay straight which becomes Brighton Ave. In about half a mile, the music hall is on your left, right after you cross Harvard Ave.

It's pretty easy to get to, the old Harpers Ferry. Might walk a few blocks but I bet you'll find parking easy.
Very excited for this, when I saw them at ICA last time THEY WERE UNBELIEVABLE.

Aw yeah--that show was even on my birthday :joy:

Except for Earth cancelling, Boston has a way of throwing me a great show on/very near my birthday every year...

Bummer, jfrey. First time I saw them @ MIddle East upstairs when Haikus was still playing drums was uneven, but that ICA show was up there with some of the best shows I've seen.
Kind of a weird venue for them, be interesting to see how well they translate in there.

They played at the ICA? That is weird. I was just over there recently for a mixology event.

Yup, ICA was cool. Brighton Music Hall, on the other hand...

ICA was absolutely transcendent.

This was different. They seem more like a real trio (as opposed to 2 + 1), and they were definitely quieter--setlist ran way towards the God is Good stuff and the new record.

Sinai, all of the B side of GiG, The sub pop 7" song (also known as "time to go smoke"), State of Non-Return and the quiet>Loud Bhima's theme.
