Ma band was booked noon on friday until 2 on sunday. Almost got derailed when the ice storm knocked power out on friday but they got power back late friday night and we headed down sat am (I got power back at home last night after 4 1/2 days).

We ended up recording from about noon on sat straight thru to 11am on sunday. Got tracks down for 5 tunes only 1 of which I'd like to keep. Pretty much went as I expected, other guitar player got drunk and by the time we were ready to redo his scratch tracks he couldn't play. I got most of my tracks done but was pretty burnt out by the end of it all and I'm not really happy with some stuff. We're scheduling more time for next month to see what we need to fix and/or redo from scratch.

Rough mixes are up at http://www.myspace.com/lazorbeek - feel free to comment, I realize how much most of it sucks so don't hold back  The 1st tune is probably all we're keeping.

My friends own the place, eventually the studio will be moving into the barn, for now we set up in the house. If anyone is near Worcester MA and wants some time let me know and I can set it up for you on the cheap.

there was a Disaster Fuzz in there but I guess it didn't make the picture. I pretty much brought everything I own just in case

He was pretty overwhelmed by the whole thing (1st time recording). Apparently while I was recording my stuff he was drinking & smoking. I made it clear he has to go back and fix his stuff.

I used to do session work for the guy who owns the studio so we got a discount, if we were paying full price for him to fuck around I'd be a lot more pissed right now

What do you think of the Supercollider?

I love it. Tweaked Muff with more bass control.

Actually got this one end of last week - it's the oscillating beast version. Standard Supercollider with two footswitchable oscillation modes. Still getting used to them, not as crazy as the oscillations on Devi's stuff.

I had the standard version and traded up to this one, sold my Pink Flesh when I got the 1st one. It's a great pedal if you're looking for a muff clone, although the beast is really big.

Nice stuff, listened to the Hippie and the Fatman (probably got the title wrong, but I'm lazy!) and I thought it was most charming. Keep it up! And be nice to your guitar player, tell him if gets drunk next time I'll personally go and punch him in the balls with a spiked gauntlet!
