And I've only heard about them, but from that much I would say some sort of vibrato. I would recommend the malekko vibrato. I totes love it. I know in the prymaxe demo for the zvex instant lofi junky, he plays some boc.

definitely filters...low-pass, band-pass, high-pass. their stuff often has some structure where stuff starts out relatively unmolested but then gets filtered, or vice versa. delays up the kazoo, at least one analog and one digital delay. a looper with 60 seconds or more of time would be essential. modulation, especially flangers/phasers that do crazy shit when they feed back like the ending on Radiohead's "Karma Police." a tremolo/vibrato with multiple waveforms. i've never messed with one, but i suspect that a multi-pole Waldorf-style filter like the one on the Pole CDs would be great. and a cassette recorder pre-amp for the lo-fi processing, which would be more useful than fuzz per se.

Boss BF-2, Moog Low Pass Filter, TC Electronics Nova Delay, Volume Pedal, some kind of compressor and octave pedal, and a looper.

I'd use reverbs and some mod pedals with some really slow rates, and maybe some filterz. Jim from the office was right on about teh Rhodes
