Does anyone have any schematics or a list of the "common" mods that are done to this pedal? I've seen some offering mods at about $200 a pop but I know if I knew what was being done I could do it myself. I have the big box reissue pedal (in case that matters). I would love to basically add everything that the shotgunmods guy does...

The first thing I do is change the guitar Micro Synth into the Bass Micro Synth. It just sounds fatter. I love it!!! Then I add True Bypass w/LED monitor. A MUST WITH THIS PEDAL!!! Then I tweak the Octave Up voice to sounds a bit raunchier, using 1n34a Germanium Diodes. Then I add the F.A. switch. Fat Arse, this turn the Sub Octave voice into a TON of molten lard. If your not careful, someone WILL get hurt. The coolest mod by far, is the Expression Pedal control of the Stop Frequency parameter. This is way too much fun to jam with, it should be illegal. And I then I tweak the levels of the voices a bit. I make the Octave Up louder, Square Wave a bit quieter, and the Sub Octave louder... Very cool, Very fun!!!

Before I start digging in a bit more I just wanted to see if anyone had any of these written up to make my life a bit easier.

your in luck, he provided enough detail that you can pretty much just get to work and dive right in. take the circuit in smaller pieces and try to put his words into action. what does fat mean? does that mean more gain? try changing something to make more gain. most of the mods describe either a volume change, simple filtering, or swapping out diodes for other diodes. the expression pedal mod involves some kind of voltage controlled oscillator and a slew or envelope. the circuit already has these envelopes and stuff, you just need to put that on a pot. an expression pedal is just a pot. these are all simple mods, you just need to get your hands dirty.

A very cool response... thank you. I know I can work my way around a circuit like this and make sense of it but I always like to ask ahead of time in case there is something ridiculous about it that I'm missing. But I'll jump in and see what I can do. And if I screw anything up I'll drive over to Aen's with a case of beer and beg for his help.

And while I was typing this response the cheese sauce for the dinner I'm making boiled over and is now all over the stove. Yay

I kicked its ass with a rag shortly after the attack. I think the remaining sauce is going to tell the rest of the sauces in our pantry to watch their shit otherwise they'll be the next to be wiped up.
