urm. so...... what should i look for for my drummer? he's wanting to try to play keys. i got a line on an Alesis QS6.1 on my local CL. he mostly wants to try to do keyboard piano parts. it's going for $200.

found a M-Audio Venom for me to play around with too.... i like the idea of soft synth laptop stuff.... but it's just such a bitch to deal with. hardware synths are so much more convenient. i wanna try that way for a hinute.

I love my Korg TR-Rack. Find one cheap and get a decent controller... tons of patches. Tons. Its not the same shit over and over again either.

hurm. that DOES look neat..... but i'm trying to keep this mad simple. he's already got a sampler drum trigger thing.... gonna do a mini board with a micro amp, 4 channel mixer so it's a single out to a pa cab we drag along..... but i don't really want to get into rack stuff. an all in one keyboard synth that has some decent piano'y tones would be perfect i think.

and butt CHEAP. is the QS6 booty? it's actually $150 he's asking. OOPSIES.

I got a QS6 for $150 and like it a lot. I don't really futz with all the neat stuffs it can do, but I like a lot of the sounds in thar and it works fine as a midi controller.

:edit: The piano patches there are pretty decent!

awesome. hope dooder bites then. it's what i want to spend and we're going to mostly use it for piano'y stuff. dunno how much i want to delve or get into it. so good starter patches work GOOD STYLEY.
