fuck. fucking hate EHX. but i want some easy droney pedal shenanigans. and the Freeze (which i gots) might be the way to go. thinking about the Super Ego..... murf. gonna go play with one tomorrow if they have it in stock at the Awesome Pedal Store near me.

I haven't yet played a Super Ego, but I have played the Freeze and love what it does. And the Super Ego basically addressed all of the things I thought the Freeze was missing: a loop to run the droned note through other effects, the ability to layer notes on top of previous ones, and an auto mode that automatically picks up your new note and holds it.

I've been sorely tempted to get one myself, so I'd love to see what you can do with it, it may make me finally cave.

This is the coolest use of either that I've seen. But never really been interested in one.

I've been wanting to try a Super Ego even though I have no clue what I would use it for

I have an approximation of a Freeze with the proper settings on Samurai Switch + cheap Dano Reverb pedal. So my advice is to get a feedback looper with a momentary switch for the feedback mode, and a cheap digital reverb turned way up in the loop and see if that does it for you

yah. SuperEgo has neat features. makes me want to look at doing a two amp setup.... stuff thru the Ego efx loop out to it's own amp. that's how the send works if the return's not plugged in ne?
