I'm looking for a hardcase for my tele, and I was wondering if the Douglas EGC 350 ST case is any good.


I had the EGC 200, and that thing was trash. It was like it was made of cardboard.


What say you guys? Is the 350 a decent one? Any other recommendations for good/cheapish hardcases?

i can't speak from experience, but if the first one sucked, it's kinda hard to assume that this one would be a complete polar opposite of that

The have the Fender/SKB cases on sale for $79 at Musicians Friend. I always use SKB cases and I've never had any issues.

I've actually got this case. it's built pretty tough and it's taken a beating, but it's a great case. definitely a better value IMO

Well, I had the 300LP one and it was actually made of wood and pretty robust. Wasn't sure if it was the same with this one.

Ima definitely check out that Fender/SKB case, though.

I, too, own this case. Was the nicest by far of anything in that price range when I was looking at stuff at Guitar Center.

I actually got Zzounds to price match another website for this Gator case:

i have several cases from the Rondo site...the black rectangular Fender cases are lame, but the Les Paul-style cases are quite good. since the thermometer-style Tele case is more like the Les Paul cases, i'd guess it's pretty good.
