Irrational Fender lust.

So hard.
Would have to put a 24.75" conversion neck on it.
Would always keep the trem locked.
Would maybe have to switch out the humbuckers for singles.
But this has haunted me for months.

What is that thing again?
I can never decide if I like them or not.

Fender Pawn Shop™ Offset Special
Tom, just get someone to build you a parts guitar. Probably be cheaper and easier.

Dat pink oddball guitar.
Me likey, though. But yeah, I tend to agree that you could put one together cheaper if you were planning on a conversion neck to begin with- probably a good few hundred less

Does somebody make semi-hollow Strat bodies with an f-hole like that? I played one of these unplugged at a store recently and it felt and sounded pretty good. I too have an irrational lust for the look of the thing.

Keep an eye on Ebay. There is a builder (the one I actually got my Telemaster body from) I think he goes by Alpine_Oregon who has been making semi-hollow offset, strat and tele bodies regularly. They go for around $120-140, unfinished, but BEAUTIFUL. He's even been known to use rosewood. If you search up Telemaster or Jazzmaster body you might be able to find him.

There's nothing irrational about my lust for that thing. It's so cool.

^^^ Weirdly though, they're not single coils. There's a double-coiled wolf in those sheeps' clothing.

Is it like WRHB type humbucking or what? I might have to track down one to try in the bridge of my Jazzmaster

Irrational fear of tuning issues is part of it. (I'm a pussy?) I don't mind my guitar being
slightly off, but I don't want to be constantly retuning. I've had some shitty floating trem experiences before.
But also cause I do this thing where I wiggle my fingers parallel with the neck and get the trem effect.

Totally. (Another reason I love Fender designs!)
But sometimes I want something really specific. Like a spot-on shell pink finish...would probably have to go Warmoth for that, putting $475 into the body alone, and would probably end up around/above the price of a used one. So at that point, I might just get a used one.
But I don't need this guitar. Just want.

Oh sweet! Thanks for the tip. I found him by googling Alpine_Oregon. Nice stuff! He's on my watch-list now. The tele-firebird combo is pretty cool.

I think it'd look pretty sweet with a tele neck...confuse the hell out of people.

I'd jam out on one. That's pretty cool, although I really want a telemaster.

Dude TOM! That Telebird is sweeeeeet. I could TOTALLY see that with a Tele neck. So many possibilities!
