You've made the correct choices, oinkbanana. Do not worry.
From a purely non-musical stand point, your old band is not really all about the music. Honestly, "USA Out Of Vietnam" is a horrible name for a band. Especially for a Canadian band. (Apologies to whoever chose it.) That wall of text on their bandcamp page hit me like a red flag. Who wants to read that much about a band? I mean, not that some hype isn't good, but really? Let some other people lay on the hype for you. Don't try to do it all yourself. I think you got some worthwhile experience through 'em though.
Muscially, your new band is more dynamic and seems to have a better conception of what they're doing.
You asked. I told.

You did good, kid. New band > Old band.

Yep, the new band is better than the old one in just about every respect. The music is better, the production is cleaner and the image that's portrayed through the bandcamp site is more mature (not to mention more appropriate for this style of music).

New band sounds great.... which one is more fun to be a part of? Cause isn't that really the best way to get the most out of your playing.
Montreal eh? I live in Bromont. Tell me where your next gig in town is.... I wanna check it out.
