Has anyone else had any problems with the psu input on earth quaker devices, particularly the tone reaper? Im just curious, as i had one which cracked and left the psu input useless. I got a replacement from the dealer, after some effort, but im just wondering if it was just that one, and not something i should be really careful about...

I've had different 10 EQD which have all worked flawlessly (including 2 Tone Reapers). Worst thing that ever happened to any of them was a dirty footswitch, which is hardly their fault.
We stomp on these things repeatedly. Repeatedly. Some parts like the power jack are made of plastic. It's possible you got a bum jack or that it got stressed at some point... but EQD makes solid shit.

A couple of EQ devices that i got from the mail had their LED fallen inside the box. It is an easy fix though. The way they are mounted from the board to the LED bezel, they tend to lift up i guess when the parcel is being transported). The rest always worked perfectly at least for me.

I had an EQD power supply thing crack once but it's a super easy fix. I was jamming too many pedals in too close together I think and yeah it's just plastic...

Sorry to hear that! DC jacks and switches are the most common thing to break on a pedal. We rarely have issues with DC jacks breaking but they are plastic and under some stress so I wouldn't say it's surprising. We've made somewhere around 15,000 pedals to date and have only had about 10 come back with broken jacks. Happy to hear you got it worked out.

While we're on the psu topic, I just recently aquired a sweet big box Hoof and none of my regular 9v adapters fit it. Am I batshit crazy or is it meant for another adapter?

A long time ago I got a batch of jacks that were 2.5mm and they were mixed in before I realized they were wrong. You can get a conversion adapter (2.1mm to 2.5 mm) or send it in an we'll replace the jack.
