Small ring mod schematic?

I'm going to building a sound sculpture for my art class next month and I would like to get started now. Is there a schematic for a very very simple and small ring modulator someone can point me to? Or would it be easier to cannibalize one of those voice changer toys. Halloween is coming, after all, so those should be easy to find. The sculpture its self is going to be a box that will play a song on repeat (I found a USB sound module for that) and I plan on putting in a kill switch as well as other effects. So I figure a ring mod, maybe a bit crusher, and maybe something else. I want to really fuck up the sound.

Anderton's seems to be popular:

Check Tim Escobedos designs ( I think they're named Folk Urban on google) he has a 567 ring mod that's simple.

I still have a handful of Logan 5 PCBs along with parts. It's based on the Tim Escobedo Thing Modulator ring mod.
