Voltage on seriously special twosome

I was wondering if anyone could help me out regarding voltage on the twosome. When I power it at 18v off my iso5 pedal power, the sound is very spitty. Especially when I engage the boost section on the fixed. If I'm not cranking the gain and pre on the blunderbuss it more or less has the same effect. Once I took it off 18v and put it on 12v it solved this issue. I thought more voltage was supposed to give you more headroom?
Has anyone had similar experience with other pedals that can take up to 18v?

Does the SST even take 18v?

I do believe it is. I checked before I tried mine at 18 volts, but it sound sort of sounds... not so great at 18 volts.
I went back to 9 volts right away. I was pretty disappointed.

Strange because the new blunderbuss sounds great at 18.

Yeah, mine went screwy at 18v as well. The Blunderbuss sounded awesome, but the fix'd got all messed up in a really bad way (esp the boost). Bad enough that I was worried I was frying my pedal.
I was using a dunlop 18v adapter, and thought perhaps I should try some others. I meant to pull out my PP2 doubler cable and give it a whirl that way, but never got around to it.
I'm kinda glad to hear someone else is having the same problem. I'll give it a go on my PP2 in the next coupla days...
