Doing some research and gathering info. What do you prefer (and use) to control some of your stuff Expression pedals, control voltage (cv), both, or you dont care

I like both, having different pedals synced with CV or using different waveforms is really fun, and so is expression controlling stuff.

Unless you mean Midi Expression they are the same thing...

I use exp pedals now, but since I plan on putting together a modular synth in the next year, I voted both exp and cv

I have a few CV-compatible delays, and used it back in the day when it was the only viable option.

Now if I want stupid, asinine control it's 'find a unit that lets you assign anything to almost anything', including an expression pedal. Being able to sweep independent features on different effects and then setting another one or two or three that do it to individual settings on specific LFO shapes, times, and the like is far more easy with something like the Roand GR-55 assigns (which are a greatly ignored part of a massively underrated unit).

If I had analog synths etc with me or people who played them, I"d want CV more, but now the CV inputs are dusty and unused, like the old reel to reel in my closet.

in theory i love the idea of both, but almost never use either... it's just a cherry on top to have those features!
