RE-20: these are cool, RIGHT..?

Is this pedal just way old news now or is there something about it that sucks and makes people buy boutique verbs instead? I have an RV-3 and love it, but it's with a friend right now while I use his PP2+... prolly for a long time.

I mean... I'm starting to think these old boss pedals are where it's at. THEY'RE TOTALLY THE NEW BOUTIQUE GUYS....... :animal:

But seriously. They're rad looking and have the whole "i'm getting phat sounds using boss pedal" thing going on, don't have ANY shitty noise when you turn them on or run them anywhere in the chain, and just sound good.
THEY SOUND GOOD.
GOOD.
GOOD.

:picard: :picard: :picard:

I mean... JOHNNY GREENWOOD IS STILL COOL.

I've thought about picking up an RE-20 many times, but the timing never lines up with funding. They never pop up used locally either.

It is rare for me to use delay without reverb, so there's no excuse for me not to find one... Right?

I have a Delta Labs DGFX thing that has Galloping on it which is Slicer and it's cool... I kinda don't want you to get one so in 2015 you can pop in and be all "Slicer"...

yeah I had an ME-33 which had this ridiculous auto arpegiator on it and did crazy stuff, but I donated it to a charity auction a ways back.

I do think between my tap trem my FM4 and my RC2 I can do some slicing of my own

El Cap has been the premier tape echo emulator for a while now...however, old Boss pedals are totally becoming cool. Especially when you start thinking "hey maybe there are cool and relatively cheap pedals that can be mass produced after all?"

Us Old Folks on here are amused at that... Well I am...

Why would something that sold millions of units be inherently bad for you???

Every Record you grew up on had a TON OF BOSS PEDALS...

We are lucky now to have this Cornucopia of Pedals at our disposal...

Live It Up... Century Of The Pedals...

Man, I have always wanted an re-20. But, by no means is that an "old" boss pedal.
