First Build: Pots, LED, and populating enclosure?

Im in the middle of my first build, Hot Chilicon Fuzz, and I have a few questions I thought you guys could help me out with. First, are all the pots same? Im not sure if it makes a difference which pot goes into, Gain,Tone,Level? Im thinking it does but cant seem to find where it tells me this? I can't seem to figure out how and where to wire the LED??? And lastly should I solder the leads to all the pots,jacks, and power before or after installing them in the enclosure? Thanks in advance.
Disregard the pots question...after looking at the damb thing for an hour I found it, it plain sight on the FRONT...haha!!!
