Probably one of my 2 or 3 favorite effects on earth is a good nasty ugly awful fucking bit crusher. About the complete fucking opposite of analog warth. So ... yeah.

i find myself gravitating towards brittle digital delay and away from tape emulations, usually placed after reverb. sounds super creepy. at least the digital delays aren't trying to copy something that just can't really be copied...they are cold and plasticky and they are proud of it, dammit!
