So, apparently, this is supposed to be a customizable body/hardware kit to create guitars or basses with effects (mostly Kaoss pads, so far) mounted & wired directly into the bodies. On the whole, the beta site is a little confusing, but my first thought was "ta heck with mounting a kaoss pad on the body - put a DE mangler on there!"

Thoughts?

Bueller? Bueller?

Yeah, but for joysticky / crazy x/y axis things, it could be convenient to have the controls up at hand level.

Though I have to say I'm not a fan of the skeletal / futuristic / modular approach to instrument design. Never really have been...

I think it looks kinda neat.

I'd imagine it would be petty easy to fully mount a DE mangler in a Les Paul-like cavity.

I happen to have a Les Paul if anyone wants to fund the experiment. :haha:

No? FINE!

Fund the experiment? You mean buy you a mangler? Hell, if people are handing out free manglers, show me where and I'll sign up - I've got an instrument or two that I'd be happy to Frankenstein up....

If I *did* ever do that, I'd put on a ring modulator like Devo or some shit.

I saw a guy who mounted a cassette recorder to his guitar once... More than anything, it just makes manipulating knobs/whatever more easy.
