Talking about how lame Nirvana is pretty lame too.
I fucking love this album, one of my favorites of all time ever ever.

I always end up listening to Incestide for a solid week in the middle of the summer. Like Snips said, Nirvana is a band that everyone loves, but loves to hate on people who love more.

Ah, fuck that noise. Why would people get embarrassed about the stuff they like? Does that happen to people? Life's too fucking short, man.
I put it on randomly yesterday and had forgetten just how good it is. Dem toanz! Dem lyrics! Dat Albini!
I think "Frances Farmer" might be my favorite Nirvana song. This is surely my favorite Nirvana album.

"Milk It" is seriously one of the coolest songs ever made.

Didn't I say Nirvana was great?
Apparently you've all had the luxury to never have had to look for band members on Craigslist.

Yeah, all the band listings down here are for christian rock bands...go figure...
I kinda want a boss turbo distortion pedal just so i can rock out on all apologies all day long. That song is such a masterpiece...I wish there were more bands that sounded just like that. Quiet loud quiet dynamics with ultra fuzzed out riffs and lots of somber cello. so good.

So funny thread...
By this record ('93) I had given up on Kurt as he had turned into Kurt and Courtney and Sid and Nancy and never listened to it whole, ever... I played it today and liked most of it, still sounds good but for my money his raw genius is on display on Bleach... I think it's an age thing though...

I watched a ton of (really bad) DS-2 demo vids last night!

Only Kurt sounds like Kurt.

This made me think about the career arc. I definitely appreciate the raw-ness of Bleach. Nevermind has solid KC songwriting all the way through, but with that commercial polish. (Still, I love it for what it is) In Utero seems to me like Kurt being able to do it his way, raw like Bleach, with all the benefits of his artistic growth. Not to mention dat Albini magic...
They're all classics in terms of my life but if'n I had to pick just one...

I remember this album getting panned when it came out. Then as soon as he died, it was a work of genius.
Weird.
