Maybe this has been posted already (sorry if it is, I couldn't find it).

What do they want another footswitch for? Besides something like jwar's dual elements I can't see it being practical (high/low gain definitely requires multiple parameter adjustments).

Yeah, that would be a huge blast of volume once you switched into high gain at the very least.

Damn, that finish is so retro-futuristic. Like 1970s or something. I love it.

And trust me, it looks even better in person. This pedal is just all around awesome.

Thanks for the link, Arturo! Pretty cool!

I knew this review was going to be in the recent edition of Total Guitar in the UK, but I wasn't familiar with musicradar.com, that's new to me. Big relief they liked it though, I didn't know how it would go and I'm a worrier!

It's a great review and definitely appreciated but geeez it rubs me wrong when the Elements gets called expensive. Expensive compared to what, is what I say to that!

And I agree, Jeff, you can't just switch between high and low gain all willy-nilly, you gotta adjust parameters for that.

Hope you dig your black one, Benjy!

You're welcome, I'm glad the post was useful. Big hug!

(I visit MusicRadar for software/gear news, not pedals. I guess they basically review massive-produced gear which is always cheaper, I assume that's why they find it expensive. I must admit I was quite surprised to see The Elements there…)

Right, that's totally reasonable, and I'd be the first to agree that it costs more than a lot of distortion pedals... I just don't think it's 'expensive' when compared to them since it probably does a lot more and is made out of a lot better stuff than what the reviewer thinks is an 'affordable' distortion pedal. I'm just being difficult though, it's a sweet review and I appreciate it!

Rock Box Boiling Point is $389.
ZVex Box of Rock is $329.

The Elements is a lot less and a lot better sounding.
Compared to those, it's not expensive.
