I love everything he puts out. So weird and cool. I like the giant boxes. I have a tracer city on the way. Got a good trade (supermoon reverb and grand orbiter, seems pretty even). Anyone have any snazzy fx or drool over it like me? Even better, anyone have any schematics of snazzy gear so I can build my own wow and flutter or mini ark?

Tracer City was great but I could never get the same setting which kinda ruled it out for playing live you know.
Things are heavy as shit though and look really cool.
Much better through a synth than guitar though except the mini ark was great through guitar

yeah, I plan to use the tracer with my little phatty. I'm thinking about selling or trading al of my other pedals and getting a wow and flutter and tracer city and having that as my synth board. Tom, your pedals are on the way.Thanks.

Well, their pedals are visually stunning, but I was always put off by the price. They're a little too expensive for me to justify. And the sheer number of controls on 'em is a bit daunting.

Wow and Flutter is pretty cool. I've got one. I've found that with some mods, the Midfi Clarinot can essentially do the same thing with about 5-6 less controls and 3/4 less board space, which, in a band situation really seems a little more useful. I found that the Wow and Flutter is either REALLY subtle or REALLY over the top. But it's a pedal you've got to spend hours with, and honestly I've not done that

yea the size and price will probably prohibit me from ever getting one.

If I hadn't traded for it I definitely don't think I would have ever gotten one. There is no way I can justify that kind of price for any pedal now adays. I could for a guitar, or for a synth. But not a pedal. Not anymore

I got an insane deal on a Wow and Flutter (now skullservant's) and thought the envelope generated modulation was pretty cool but with fuzz engaged I wasn't as impressed :idk:

Still have my Mini Ark, (got new 17% off from Prymaxe) takes care of all my bit crushed, weird synthy fuzz needs and the drone options on it are seriously cool. Throw a ring mod and some verb and delay after it and it's just downright otherwordly. That said, I've been struggling to work it into music regularly so if I got the right trade offer I could see myself letting it go :idk:

I had a Mini Ark and a Wow & Flutter at one point. They are both impressively feature packed, that is for sure. The Wow I really liked, especially with fuzz after it, but I found that I didn't need the super tweakability of it. The simpler features of the Clarinot suited me just fine. And the Mini Ark just didn't do it for me tone-wise. It's a cool pedal, especially with other CV stuff, but the sound didn't do it for me. Good stuff, I just didn't end up using either of mine much.

I should have tried fuzz after the Flutter

I don't like the default setting of the Mini Ark but the vibrato modes and bit-crushed modes with a ring mod blended in are awesome in my experience. The siren mode is a cool effect too.

I forget which order I had it actually (now that I think about it...) I remember it being tricky to get the input gain and trigger threshold right on the Wow to get it to trigger but not clip. That was my old Wow that you had I bet (assuming you got it from BTF.) Formerly Wizard's before me.

Yep that was the one. Heavy fuzz never really effected the Wow and Flutter and I just didn't dig the tone. Using it clean with another delay, reverb and my Polytope was amazing though.
