Sounds wicked man. Really love the idea of recording by stream of conciousness.

I do too. It's so freeing and I love the interplay between the tracks being improvised.
Finished the second guitar part last night and exported a rough master for proofing- Listened to it today and it's VERY strange. Listening without headphones is a completely different mix and the guitars sound like rubbish. Total static, which I wouldn't normally complain about but everything sounds lost.
I'm going to have to re-record all of the guitars, going to probably send the reverb just into a RAT and see how that tracks, and do some more testing. Really disappointed that I've got to do it over but what can you do

Damn, that sounds cool man! Bit late here now, but looking forward to checking out some of your stuff tomorrow. Man I love me some black metal. Is there vocals on it too?

@chutney- there will be vocals. Still gotta add them after I remaster the guitar.
@wehuntkings- DO IT. It's a fun experience and you learn alot about your playing by doing it

Respect for the effort and keeping the word, even if it means making the un-doable happen. And thumbs up for working on an impulse.
I prefer not recording alone, if possible, so I can concentrate on the instrument. But I too I love working through the small hours for inspiration, that's when the new ideas emerge.

I managed not to have to re-record the guitars. Just went through and mastered and leveled all the instrumentation. Going to add vocals within the next week or so. 50 minutes of vocals between this set of tracks and the other for a pretty special label
Thanks for the kind words! I'll definitely post samples of everything. I really like how everything is shaping up to sound

Finally getting around to listening to your stuff now. Man, I wanted to start a black metal project like this for so long but could just never get my shit together. This is exactly my type of black metal!!!
Loving this track in particular

Thank you, I appreciate it.
I recorded it in a night after I learned of a suicide on campus, it was a weird night.

Thanks man

They're sent through a pitch shifter and a distortion along with a decent amount of verb

Yeah man, they sound like Streetcleaner era Godflesh but even more disturbing. Do you just go straight from an interface into garageband for this stuff?

For guitar and bass I run pedals into Garageband. Vocals are entirely Garageband though!

Yeah, i was reading about that in the description. That particular project reminds me if Xasthur who's my favourite usbm artist.
Do you just D.I. all the guitars?? What sort of pedal setup were you using? Has a lovely washy sound!
