Fuzzy Elements
Hi guys, I have question and problem for my recently purchased Dr. Scientist the element , maybe any of you could answer. It was fine at the beginning, but the it suddenly start making a fuzzy noises, it gets louder and louder, and when i try to play with that noise, the distortion won't come out, only clean sound, it happens once, then it back to normal for a few weeks, but then yesterday it happens again and worst, it won't turn back to normal. Can anybody help me with this? i love my element and i want to know why so i can get it fixed as soon as possible. Thank you.

Yo Joe,
Thanks for picking up an Elements! I'm sorry to hear it's acting weird.. that sounds pretty weird for sure. Let's start with isolating the pedal, you need to get the pedal all by itself with nothing else in the signal path and nothing else being powered. Make sure the cables and amp are totally normal too.. this is all just to be sure it's the pedal and not something else.
So right now, your Elements is acting weird and won't act normal? What does the clean blend do? Can you tell me a bit more about the symptoms, please? Whatcha using for power?
If you'd rather email me, it's ryan@drscientist.ca, and don't worry, we'll get to the bottom of it and repairs are fast and free! *smile*

Yep! Ryan's the man! He helped me when I thought my pedal was making wierd hums. Turned out it was the old wiring in my house and the pedal was fine. He got back to me quickly and politely. Can't ask for much more then that from a builder.
