Anyone ever own an Alesis Ineko? Power Supply question...

So, I bought an Alesis Ineko from GC online. Didn't come with a power supply but I had read that it was your standard 9v deal, nothing special, so I wasn't concerned. Well, it got here and none of my 9v power supplies will fit it. It's like the prong is thicker than on a Boss pedal or similar. Anyone know what I'm dealing with here? I had read that you didn't need a proprietary Alesis supply or anything, but it seems like I need something different than the standard Boss adapters I have or the adapters on my Pedal Power. Never seen this before. Any ideas?

Oh thanks for the offer. Does it take pretty much any 9v AC Adapter? Could I buy one at GC, for instance?

Thing is, I missed the AC part when I was reading the manual. Someone on another forum filled me in on this last night, and I went ahead and ordered the Alesis adapter. But I'm going to have to wait several days for it and I want to play with my new toy now. So, I was thinking about trying to buy another 9v AC adapter in a store today. I'm assuming they should fit it, right?

so yea, if u get a 9vAC adapter that fits it should work...if i remember correctly, it is negative center tip, but maybe make sure before you go and purchase one..?

AC- alternating current, there is no positive or negative tip/sleeve. Just make sure the plug fits in the socket (as you said, it's no standard 5x2.1mm maybe a 5x2.5mm).

Ah, so it is a rarer type of plug I'm looking for then, huh? I don't know much about these things. I don't think I have any other AC powered effects, so I was thinking maybe the AC power supplies just have slightly larger plugs. But that's not the case? They usually have the same size plugs as 9v DC adapters, but Alesis just decided to make this bigger so it would be extra hard for me to find an adapter elsewhere? So, how hard is it going to be finding a 9v AC adapter with a slightly larger plug? Is this something my local radio shack should stock?

Seems like I might just have to wait for the Alesis adapter to come in the mail after all...

If I were you, I'd just take that thing with me to Radio shack, or whatever local electronics store you have and try different plugs/PSUs. Just make sure you don't use a DC adapter... it will most likely fry your Ineko.
Or you could just train your patience and wait for the ordered adapter to get to you

yea radioshack has those adapters that you can interchange, and choose the plug size you need, so you'd def be able to find the right size there

yeah, patience isn't my strong suit...

I'll try radio shack, though the one close to me sucks really badly, so they might not have any power supplies that fit.
