BriBri's just a peach. i was bugging him about wanting to demo a Hawk on bass, and he sent a proto Mini Fucker OD too. such a SWEETIE!

It's crazy how thick fuzzy Brian gets these things while keeping the articulation as distinct as it is.....you'd think they wouldn't be possible.

yahpers. knobs are Gain, Volume on the top, Bias and HiCut on the bottom.

yeah, i wanted to keep some of the crackle-y goodness in a different way... so BIAS is equivalent to a voltage/sag/starve control, though it doesn't affect the entire circuit - letting you get some slightly gated/mis-biased sounds.

I would say you nailed it then! For bass especially, I think it's a more useful implementation than the crackle on the regular Fuck. Sounds awesome

Does it work like a bias knob on a fuzz face?

similar, but not exactly as the circuits are completely different and there are other factors at play.

yeah. it's really interactive with the gain. i LOVE the idea of the Crackle, but Teh Bias seems way more.... effective (see what i did there? RARRRRRRR) than the Crackle on bass.
