I don't know how it is everywhere else, but around here, you gotta book a good 3 months out. In fact I was trying to set up a show in June, so I was calling around in APRIL and one of the places was booked until SEPTEMBER.

I see bands in your spot posting show-wanted ads on Craigslist all the time. It must work at least some of the time, as they keep doing it.

Unless you know someone in town, skip Milwaukee. It's one of those cities where unknown touring bands go to die. Most of the time you're playing with a brand new local band and have an audience that includes said local band and a bartender. Just go straight from Chicago to Madison.

Damn, I like your stuffs. I can try to see what I can do in Milwaukee, but I don't have all too great of connections. And yes, if I can find a show I'll try to get my brand new local band on there too. (actually my band is definitely along a similar vein as you guys)

thanks! know anything about quarter's rock n roll palace? i understand its a dive? but some bands i like have played there. its hard to track down any contact info for em. i think we're actually hopin to be in milwaukee august 30th or 31st.

Ima be honest I've never planned a show, but I put a holla out and am gonna try and put together something so you guys can play along with mine and nieh's and possibly another band. Throwing myself into this because there's enough time in between then and now, I've kinda almost figured out who to talk to in MIlwaukee, and my band could use dates desperately, and I need something in my life apart from cooking at a bar.

Hell, there's a distant shot I could figure out something in Madison also. I'll be back on this one.

If you decide to come to Lexington, KY try to book your show at Cosmic Charlie's. Louisville has a bigger scene, but you might have a harder time booking a venue due to it's size. But I've never actually booked there, so that could be totally false.
