Weird pedals.

Couldn't come up with a better title for the topic, and for a lot of you guys in here the pedals I will be refering to aren't even half-weird. But never mind.
Here's the beginning of a looooong explanation.

I've been buying pedals for about 5 years now. I've always been that idiot who'd rather spend his time and money on buying/tweaking pedals instead of improving his guitar playing.
Delays will always be my fave effect but lately (after doing my best to stay away from endless amounts of fuzz pedals, for the sake of my wallet) I've been having quite the thing for "noise" and filters etc. I decided today that I should go through my pedal collection and decide what to keep and what to sell. I played a bit with my Lunar Echo last night and decided it was on the sell list, however, today, I changed my mind. It's such an awesome noise-box. Also been using my subdecay noise box and a been into ring mods. Blah blah blah...

My questions is. Is there a pedal that you can put in a delay loop (for example) which will let me do all the weird noise and glitchy things like the mod side of the lunar echo, octaves and so on etc. Preferably with a take off switch. I gues what I want is a modulation/filter pedal that let's me sweep and well, whateveritscalled, really. Having a hard time describing this, but you guys see where I'm going? I really like what I've heard from the Snazzy Fx Tracer City, but it's just too big. Suggestions?

Btw, when I say filter I usually don't mean actually filter pedals. Not a big fan of the meatball, for instance.

Comprendez?

Eqd rainbow machine. I'll take that lunar echo if it ends up on the chopping block.

I was gonna say the same thing. Rainbow machine in a delay fx loop seems like it would be nuts.

i just bought a solidgold fx electroman which has an fx loop and a footswitch that sends it into oscillation...

get rainbow machine and an organizer and play them together always. the sounds are fucked in the best way possible.

i bet a ringworm with iron ether (xerograph dlx, frantabit, polytope) pedals would be insane in an effects loop. all with expression pedals. then ideally an expression pedal for controlling delay time, and regeneration of the delay. by then you'd probably want to get one of those expression pedal routers/selectors.

Well, perhaps it's not the answer but went into town today and found an insanely cheap Line 6 M9. It's not the perfect pedal but it's a small footprint and I will get a lot of fun tones with it in an fx loop. Thinking about the filters to start with. The bad thing is, after todays find, I think my GAS is back on.
