Video #1: This kind of shows off the noisier side of the pedals, as the Operator?! was running for much of it.

This is the quick and dirty video I shot before running out this afternoon.
Individual pedal reviews forthcoming.
Text from Youtube:
First stop on the I Love Fuzz tourbox for Fairfield Circuitry.
Equipment used:
ESP XJ-6 with mini-hums
Sunn Sorado head with KT-88s
Emperor 2x12 with Weber 65s
Signal path:
Barbershop Overdrive into Operator feedback looper (with Unpleasant Surprise fuzz and Randy's Revenge ring mod in the loop) into Four Eyes fuzz
Moog EP-2 expression pedal is used first in the Four Eyes, and then inserted into the Randy's Revenge.
Apologies for the inability to see the settings, knobs turned, etc. It's my first video demo. The point was to show a certain set of results that could be achieved, but there are so many possibilities and configurations with these pedals this video could be an hour long and still not cover everything. I recommend you try them all!
Video #2: Ring mod comparison - Randy's Revenge vs. Moog MF-102

Video #3: Basic knob turning and stacking - Unpleasant Surprise -> Randy's Revenge -> Barbershop -> Four Eyes

Sounds awesome. There are definitely some new sounds I'd to try out myself that I'd never experienced, but I get the impression the Operator?! is a big part of it, which is the one I don't have, as well as the Barbershop.

I GOT THE BOX!!!!
Will try to get some clips a-happenin'. Did a quick run-through at the practice space on Saturday night, and the initial assesment was:
1) Unpleasant Surprise - SURPRISE!!! This is actually quite pleasant! At least, to me it is. Really really nice take on a gated fuzz. If you dial in the Onset knob, it actually may be close to a perfect gated fuzz. Seriously, it can get HUGENORMOUS, but the gate keeps extraneous grossness under control. By the same token, with the right settings, you can remove almost all dynamics and have it just make weird sputtery banjo-on-acid noises... which is not such a bad thing either, in my book.
2) Randy's Revenge - yep, it's gorgeous. Best damn ring mod around. The trem sounds available are also nice, but I just want to use it to make my bass sound like bells all... day... long.
3) Four-Eyes Fuzz - some really interesting sounds available here. If you've ever wanted THEE PARKED WAH SOUND, this is the place to get it. For any bass player wanting to "cut through the mix" this will do it for you. The actual fuzz sounded fairly tame (well, especially compared to the Surprise), but the EQ crossover trickery makes it completely unique. I could see this working well in a band situation both on its own and stacked after fuzz as a special solo boost / EQ switcheroo.
4) Barbershop - as advertised, it's a transparent-as-all-heck OD. Adds just a wee bit of hair to your sound without changing the essential tone. I could see someone using this as an always-on thing, especially someone who wanted to add some "tube grit" to a clean amp. Interested in seeing how it stacks.
Sadly, I didn't have time to mess with the Operator!?, but will hopefully get to that in my home clips.

All right! I got a little time today to mess around with the pedals further, and record some clips. As with all of my demos, this is one riff repeated over and over and over. So I hope you don't mind the riff! The good news is that there's a ton of toanz available in these beautiful boxes of goodness. Also as usual, this was recorded like so: Fender Jazz bass > fx > Garageband (with an amp sim). The only editing was for individual track length and volume.
My assessment from my earlier run-through (detailed above) still stands, but I was pleased to see how much depth there is available in each of these pedals. Each one offers a wealth of tweakability. I used the Barbershop the least, just because it was pretty clear what it does: it's a gorgeous overdrive! It handles stacking well, though, and towards the end of the demo I get into piling stuff up.
As before, I didn't get around to The Operator!?, but I'm hoping that other folks on the tour will be able to do so.
All in all, this is great, great stuff. Thanks to Guillaume and Gunner for putting this together - I'm so psyched to have been a part of the tour.
Onto the clippage!
