2 Recommendations: Tremolo and Reverb

Sooooo, after rearranging my board today I realized that I have space for up to two more pedals. Soooooo, I was thinking I would look for:
a "choppy" Vox percussion-style tremolo pedal
a "shimmery" reverb pedal
I'm looking for pedals under $150 with a relatively small footprint. And I don't need something with a "wide" variety of sounds, just the things I'm looking for that I can tweak the essentials just a bit.
Any ideas? The EQD Hummingbird seems like it would be along the lines of what I'm looking for as far as trem goes.

by "shimmery" are you talking about an octave up reverb or just a reverb with brighter tones? if you're not looking for an octave verb, i'd recommend the strymon flint. i was in need of both reverb and trem and got the strymon flint yesterday and it rocks. you can get "shimmery" as in high-treble reverb on it (the color knob has a pretty wide range of tone) and the trems sound killer. listen to some demos of the photo-cell tremelo mode and see if that is choppy enough for you, if it's not then i would also go the route of the EQD hummingbird and a strymon bluesky for super shimmery verb if you can get one used/cheap... if not, there's always the line6 m5 with lots of verbs in it, among tons of other things.

EQD Hummingbird is one of the best pedals ever. Once I get my cash flow in order I'm going to pick up a second one so I can have one at home and one on the gig board.
Dial back the speed and depth - awesome old school throb, but kinda original sounding
Dial up the depth - chop city
Dial up the speed - weird stuttered cool sounds.
It has shit loads of volume on tap as well. Even at 11 o'clock it boosts the signal. The signal you get out is tonewise not 100% same as what you put in - it has slightly more bass I find and perhaps a tad less treble, but it's only noticeable if you are really listening for it, and it's not at all unpleasant. Awesome clean or with dirt. If you haven't noticed, I really, really like this pedal. Just buy it and if you don't like it I'll buy it back off you

Reverb - Jack just replied in the Mr Black thread and he says that with the decay dialed down his new reverb gets "crystalline" - could be what you need, and with the preorder it's only 139 dólares.

I can't find a single positive review or post about the Mooer Shimverb. Between the volume drop and the fact that the octave-up also has blended fifths (making it awkward or completely unuseably dischordant when played many ways), a lot of people seem to be hating on it..

viewtopic.php?f=149&t=25335&p=426539&hilit=shimverb#p426539Don't own one myself, but the vid here sounds good. I think there's a few ILFers who've taken the shimverb plunge. Darkaxel you've got one don't you?

Buy both, hate them, then sell them to me at a stupidly low price

It's only a matter of time before I move my Line 6 Verbzilla, so let me know if that type of shimmer is what you're interested in

For reverb, I'd really check out the TC Hall of Fame. For the price point you want, it offers a LOT of tonez and GOOD ones at that. Does the shimmer thing pretty damn nice.
Reverb - check out the Black Cat Mini Trem, VFE old school Tremolo, and the Voodoo Lab.

I didn't know the Hall of Fame can do shimmer!? Is there a new tone print?
This is all I could find on the subject;

The Room With A View toneprint supposedly got really close to RV-5 territory on the HoF!

No, I should have clarified.
There are some toneprints that will get close, but with a little knob fiddling you can dial in some REALLY great shimmer-esque sounds.

Cool

I was just reading a quote from TC that the HoF processor / hardware is definitely capable of doing octave-up shimmer; I guess it is a matter of time!
