I was looking at the Zcat Poly Octaver and of course, the Micropog. Am I missing anything else that won't break the bank? Thanks in advance!

The Octron, but it's not polyphonic (it's monotonic).
If you don't need octave up, maybe you can wait for the Malekko DOWN. It will be a polyphonic octave down.
If you like the organ vibe, there's the Earthquaker Devices Organizer (which is polyphonic).

But (that's probably only me) I never find any polyphonic octaver that sound great, they all sound cheezy to me.

You have to be patient... it should have been released a year ago.

I know the Ampeg Sub Blaster is really awesome for lows. And tracks like a BAWS

sylnau turned me on to the FoxRox Octron and he's absolutely right. And excellent octave up and down pedal... my favourite.

Otherwise, the Bit Commander is pretty close to the things the Octron can do with a few more tones, but doesn't sound as "organic" as we say, and doesn't track as well... especially low notes.

There's always the Whammy, which sounds corny and awesome at the same time. I loved mine, but like having a little bit more of a "real" octave up fuzz, which is what the Octron does. Nothing digital about it.

I had the MicroPOG, I sold it... then I got the Octron, it was a huge upgrade. like CBA said it's organic, no cheezy digital (don't get me wrong, I like digital pedal but not digital octave).
I just sold my Octron... it should be gone tomorrow. I'll be on the hunt for something else. At the moment, I'm trying the SubDecay Octasynth (it's a different flavor... synthy).

If you mean DOWN... No... and only one note a the time.
UP track well all the time.

I heard the EBS Octabass can track 2 to 3 note at the time.

I'll have to check out that Octabass. Need to find something decent that tracks my bass' C tuning!

It's next on my list... that demo ^ sound great.
And I think the is a local store that have them.
Seems to work well with guitar even if it's build for bass.

Maybe one of our (ILF) builder will build the ultimate octaver one day.

I tried the Boss PS5, which was decent in tracking and polyphonic, but definitely had a metallic digital ring to it. Going to play around with it a little more and see if I can get it to sound a little more organic

I've got the zcat and the lag is pretty noticeable. It doesn't have a heap of headroom either. But, it takes normal 9v, only eats about 70mA of current, and sounds quite nice for a digital octave. - in that digital octave kind of way - like the POG.
