Help me fix my BF-3

Friend gave me a Boss BF-3 flanger, but the switch doesn't work. It just turns itself on and off randomly. any ideas?

There's two little tabs on either side - getcha a small screwdriver and lift it out. You don't even have to remove the back plate to access enough wire to replace it.
Then again, it could be something else...
