NAD! Hooray

So I fell in love with this amp on Wednesday. I've been looking for a couple months for something to better suit my needs. I realized my perfect amp would be something with Fender cleans, hand-wired, plenty of headroom, a 15", and ideally spring verb and an effects loop also, a power switch to go from 15w practice volume to gigging volume. Well guess what, turns out it DOES exist, and it only cost $375. Except when you negotiate with the salesman and get him to match another shop's trade offer for your AC15 you end up paying only $80 out of pocket. :joy:

So with no further ado, I present to you my vintage 1980 Fender 75:

Long story short, I haven't had a chance to really crank it, but this thing is incredible. Even on 15w there's more headroom than I could imagine coming from my Vox. I'm thinking this just might be the perfect platform amp.

And I get to gig with it on Saturday :)* :)* :)* :)* :)* :)* :)* :)* :)* :)*

Shit dude, nice score. Reading the features you just described makes it sound like a bitchin' amp.

Nice and amazing. When I discovered these existed I assumed it'd be the amp for me, but no one has 'em around.

I'm guessing I should consider getting a new speaker for it? Recommendations? 15", 8 ohms, amp RMS75w

Siiiiiiick. That feature set is pretty great, didn't know they made amps with half power switches in the old days. Congrats bro!

Ok, so what's the deal with this one jack effects loop? And something called a "noise something" I want to somehow patch my eq and decimator into each, respectively. Is that right? Do I need two weird Y cables or something?

Huh? Can't have an effects loop with one jack... Is it a preamp bypass or something? :?: What do these jacks say on them?

For sure, I can leave the master at 7-8 and just play with the clean channel volume at like 3 and it sounds amazing. All on the 15w channel.

I'm thinking about a 1x10 extension that I could set right on top of it, something that sounds a little bit honky, not to sharp? But it needs to handle at least 75w. Hmmmmm....

Are Eminence speakers good in general? Was looking at a Marshall cab online with a 1x12 Eminence to run as an extension, but it isn't listed as what specific model speaker.

What about the Celestion Seventy 80?

you should be able to find a manual on the Fender website. go forth and Google, my son. i'll bet the effects loop uses a stereo jack.

Have you ever played through one of these? I have one I got as a freebie in a trade deal, do not like it at all. It sounds more like a PA speaker then a guitar speaker IMO. The high's were brittle and the lows lacking.

I def back up the weber's though, I use weber michigan 15's and love em, smoothest sounding 15 i've ever played though.
