My First Bass Board (suggestions?)

So I'm going to be playing bass a little more frequently now that my Kramer is coming and I'm bomb proofing my amp with the new cab.
I've been trying out my guitar board for my bass, and most of it translates well, but I kind of want a seperate board so I don't have to transfer pedals to and fro. I'm shooting for something pretty minimal, m
I'm thinking about this sort of setup for the board:
DOD Octoplus (recommend another non-cheesy octave?)-> Verellen Big Spider-> DOD DFX9 delay-> Possible DD7 for looping.
Any other suggestions? Really trying to be minimal here, might whip up a micro clean boost to put at the end.
Thanks dudes!

big spider is a good choice for dirt, and the dfx9 will handle that gain well, no experience with the octoplus, and the dd7 is killer.
If you do a clean boost heres another option, a single frequency clean mid boost, centered at 250hz for when you want your lows to cut through live but not interfere with the kick drum, Dunwich Nick is building one for me to put at the front my chain.
My bass board chain is all dirt but once it's assembled will be something like this.....
EB Volume > pitch black tuner > dunwich mid boost > BAT Badascan > Monolith Tectonic Shift > Monolith BMP clone
I don't use alot of modulation or time based effects playing bass in my current band so I mainly wanted alot of variety of dirt tones since we use alot of different tones on our records, I will have 5 different dirt tones without combing em

I really like my MXR BOD octaver A LOT! It can hit the OC-2 tones and a whole lot more. It tracks well for me.
I actually really did not like the Big Spider on bass...at all. Megalith!!!!!!!!!!

big spider compatability is extremely amp dependent, the only amp i've had that sounded great with it is my orange ad200b, nothing else could handle the low end it puts out. And yes megalith for the mutha effin win!

You know, I now have an Orange AD200B, I was wondering how it would work with this amp. I am liking different pedals these days with the Orange. Love this amp!!!!1

I kind of wish I didn't get rid of my Meatbox when I had it now, but alas. I'll have to check out some demos of the BOD. AA, you gotta make a demo of the mids boost when you get it.
Going to try out the Big Spider tonight with my other bass, hopefully I dig it as much as my Tall Font!
Probably going to do a lot of looping, with my girlfriend doing noise over top.
Envelope filter? Yeh, neigh? Any other semi-weird bass effects that I might look out for?
Oh, and the amp I will be running into is a 120w Peavey Rock Master. It's a guitar head BUT, its got a killer EQ section with a ton of options (low-pass, bright, mid boost) so it really shines on bass as well. A Quad of 6L6's.

I asked a similar question a while back, and got heaps of great suggestions!

Hope this can be of some help:

I might have to cave and get another Second Voice to cover octave and filter.... That'd be awesome
Pitch Black -> Second Voice -> Big Spider (could swap the two around and see which sounds best) -> DOD DFX9 -> DD7

I wouldn't say it would cover either, its more of a thing of its own calling. Can be great fun, but can't really cover most traditional octave use and isn't a filter.

Second Voice is dope on bass. The interval options are neat. I don't think it's Octave is a s useful as a dedicated octaver, it definately can't cover what a low pass filter does. A cool fuzz for sure though. Iron Ether Xerograph (deluxe?) is pretty awesome. Also Source Audio Bass Envelope Filter Pro is sweet. LFO can control the Envelope, can do one 8 Step sequenced pattern, has different wave shapes,Sweeps up and down, 6 memory settings, also has a couple of phaser settings, a lot of value for buck. it is digital if that matters to you. The Xerograph can get a bit deeper sounding, also sweeps up and down, but sometimes control is touchy.

Hmmmmm. I was figuring the filter sweep on the CV version of the Second Voice could cover my needs, although I've never had the CV version, I do dearly miss my Second Voice from when I had it. Maybe if I slammed the Big Spider with the -1 of the SV it could get disgusting

It takes pedals so differently (and IMO better) then any other amp i've used. I love mine too, it aint go anywhere anytime soon!

The Octoplus is dope, but it doesn't track very well on low notes.
XEROGRAPH DELUXE I AM NOT EVEN KIDDING. Compace Faye Sing is a wicked rad phaser on bass.

I guess the Octoplus wouldn't be so good for me then since I tune down to C.
I wish I had my bass with me when I had my Faye Sing, I probably would have kept it if I did have the bass with me.
And I have to check out the Xero Deluxe. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Anyone else have suggestions for a clean octave? Might end up building the Pearl Octaver through Madbean
