Getting a new amp, now I need a cab!

So, the Ampeg B25 deal fell through which is a bummer but right after, I found a Traynor TS-50b for a steal and it's mine! So now, I need a cab (I'm borrowing a cab in the meantime). I'm going to be playing guitar through it for the most part and I'm not sure what options I have as far as a bass cab (or a guitar cab if that's a viable option) is concerned. I'm looking for something in the 200-300 dollar range. Thanks for your time!

If you are playing guitar through it, I'd definitely suggest a guitar cab with guitar speakers
What configuration are are you looking for: 1x12, 2x12, 4x12, 2x15?

Get an ol' tuck-n-roll Kustom 2x15.

Emperor Custom Cabs.

Whatever size/configuration/speakers/cosmetics you desire they'll make for less $$ than most every big name, mass produced alternative. It'll dominate sonically as well. :thumb:

For a $200-$300 used guitar 4x12, I'd look for a Crate cab with the Celestion 70/80's, an Epiphone with the Eminence Lady Luck's, a Blackheart with the Eminence Blackheart's, or a Randall with Eminence Jaguar's. The Crate and Randall cabs are the heaviest sounding, and the Epiphone and Blackheart are good for cleaner tones as well as doomsludge heaviness.

If you want a 1x12 you can find more options both cab and speaker-wise. For a 2x12, a Peavey XXX with the Sheffield 'Celestion copies' are sweet and in that price range, maybe below it if you get lucky - I got my 2x12 for $150 off CL, and it still looks new-ish...

Craigslist is a goldmine for this.
I've bought so many great cabs over the years for a few hundred $$

Keep a lookout for Celestion V30 loaded 2x12's or 4x12's. Greenbacks are nice too.

My friend found a great used closed back 2x12 with DP12A's for a bargain.

This. I own so many cabs for no good reason. The other day, I got two 2x15s and four 2x12s for $150 off CL.

It's an addition to what I already had too. My apartment is almost entirely made out of cabs now. I previously had got my Sunn 2x15 off CL for $120. And one of my bandmates bought two fucking sweet straight 4x12s off CL for $200.
