Just saw Wilco live for the first time

and they kicked ass. very front right in front of Nels was my position of choice. the fuckers played for like, three hours straight. I don't really have anything else to say. it was good. the end.

can't wait till my band is HUGE and we are allowed to play for three hours.
Glad to hear they put on a good show! The recent output has been a serious letdown, but I know that can all change live.

Sounds awesome. Last time I saw them was when YHF just came out, with Sonic Youth in Philly

Super jelly. I mean, hell even if you don't like Wilco, it would almost be worth it to go see em just for Cline

In Rolling Stone's recent Guitar Gods or something issue, Nels Cline is on the list. They used Spiders/Kidsmoke (which is AMAZING) as an example of his particular awesomeness. I agreed with that point, until a month later when Nels sent a letter to RS clarifying that it's actually Tweedy playing all the guitar there, as Nels hadn't joined yet. That was a mini mindblow to me and thought others might want to be aware. Nels is still wicked bad though.
