Reactions? I'm gonna pick it up later, but other than Jeff-7, everyone I have talked to seems to hate it. A lot more like Radiohead, but whatever

I heard a new song by them on the radio the other day, but by the time I noticed and realized it was them the song was over.

I only listened to it once about a week ago, so keep that in mind.

I really dug the more mellow songs on the record. I always thought they did those well (Three Seed and Table Scraps are two of my favorite songs from them) and I'm glad they did a bit more on that side of things. I also noticed a lot going on instrumentally, but it didn't really click with me on my listen through, I just kind of noticed it. I didn't think it was bad, but it did make my jaw drop or anything. I also got a little bored during some songs because of how long/repetitive they were.

But again, this was based off one listen. I'm definitely going to give it a go at least a couple more times to get a solid opinion.

The whole album is streaming here.

I really enjoy it. It might be my favorite release of theirs, as it feels the most consistent from beginning to end. The fuzz driven riffs are still present, but there's a new interesting electronic element to their sound (with the drums/percussion, at least). It's definitely more of a shift than their first album to the second.

When I saw them open for Muse a few years back, I was extremely impressed with their energy and performance; I'm looking forward to catching them on this tour.

Also snagged a signed copy of the CD, which should reach home today or tomorrow. :!!!:

So they've gone from ripping off Siamese Dream to ripping off Adore?

I loved them live, but I've always found their studio stuff to be hit or miss. I'll probably mediafire the new album, but I'm not really expecting an album of the year or anything
