For those of you that use bass picks, what do you use, and where do you buy them?

Use the same picks on bass and guitar, the Dunlop purple delrin/tortex 2.0mm

They're indestructible and mean.

Dunlop Tortex 1.14mm. I usually use the Jazz III shape on guitar but I like the larger pick on bass.

All my guitar picks are the small Jazz IIIs. They feel really tiny on bass. I usually play with my fingers on bass, but the stuff I'm writing right now I think is really more suited to a pick.

i use the heaviest picks i have, which are the David Grisman "Dawg" mandolin picks i used to use for guitar. they're bigger than guitar picks, rounded, and have corners with different radii. i like them for bass because they have a nice THUNG to the attack rather than the CLANG of a lighter pick.

For my ultimo sweaty sweat hands:

I probably do 50% finger 50% picked. Depending on what the song needs.

Dunlop Big Stubby 1.0. Has a small indent in it for grip and the 1.0 has a little bit of flex which I like.

ILF picks, dude. They're really just right for my useage on bass. I used to use the yellow dunlops, but they broke too often, and were kinda floppy. Got the ILF picks, then never looked back.

Also this. I use the same picks for guitar, and on the rare occasion that I want to use a pick with bass they work well for that clanky sound which is the reason I want to use a pick.

I play with a pick 95% of the time. I use Big Stubby 3.0's because I play really fucking hard and don't want any flex at all, and I love the indented grip. Any picks smaller than 2.0 I snap in half in about 1 practice.

Yeah, Dunlop Delrin 500 2.0mm (or sometimes Delrin 500 1.5mm).

(i used to sometimes use Delrin 500 triangles for rhythm playing on guitar, but Dunlop seems to have discontinued 'em. Interested in trying a pick made of Ultex. If anyone's tried 'em on either bass or guitar, please, pipe up.)
