Fuzzrocious Rat King! More New audio clips!

Hi Everybody!
Just wanted to spread some love for the 1st Distortion pedal that I ACTUALLY Love!
The Fuzzrocious Rat King.
The RAT KING is the suped-up version of the Fuzzrocious RAT TAIL. It's actually 3 pedals in one: a Rat Tail, a second Rat Tail (through the 2nd distortion setting), and a momentary feedback loop. The feedback looper is amazing, it's adjustable so it's VERY musical!
The middle footswitch lets you jump between two distortion settings and it has an LED indicator so you know the second setting is active. You can use it as a booster or as a different distortion setting. I LOVE THIS!
The diode knob (Di) blends between LEDs and silicon diodes AND you can use the toggle bypass the diodes (greatfor bassists). The double resistor mod found on the RAT TAIL is also found here so you can fine tune your sound in many ways, controlling how the ciruit clips,
This is not only a fantastic distortion but also a killer OD as well!

Now some quick clips... :joy:
This 1st one is my clean tone for a measure or 2, then I'm jamming the verse parts in more of an OD tone and the chorus parts I kick her into the 2nd dist. At the end I kick on the feedback looper and play with it and a few guests too!

This second one I just grabbed my 5 string and kicked on the distortion, then kicked on the feedback looper and thought wow, I can dial this in to the note I want. I did and then just came up with this riff immediately. The chorus part I'm holding down the feedbacker the whole time while I play it, this is RIDICULOUSLY cool sounding I think!

This is a quick bass version of Deep Purples' Highway Star featuring the Fuzzrocious Rat King into the Fuzzrocious Broke Dick Peanut Gallery. Pardon the sloppiness, I was just digging the tones and just wung it. 1 track, 1 take.

This is a comparison contrast demo using Fuzzrocious Rat King distortion and Dr. Scientist The Elements. Now you can actually hear the Classic Distortion/Fuzz debate.
All the clips are clean tone, Rat King then Elements.
I start off with both full blast. Then lower gain/heavy OD. Then just OD.
I try to cover the 3 major playing styles. Riffs, chords then melody lines in each gain setting.

This is an all bass version of the Munsters theme using nothing but my Fuzzrocious pedals.
My clean tone is the Dark Driving.
Then I use The Rat King into the Broke Dick Peanut Gallery as the main rhythm tone along with the DD.
Then I add the Grey Stache and Terrordactyl.
Enjoy...Cheers

This last one is the Rat King in a band mix. This is a song by my band The Barleywine Sound Union called Yer Stomp.

CHEERS! :!!!:

The X-Files theme! This is my interpretation of the X-Files theme featuring Fuzzrocious pedals. Specifically the Dark Driving, Broke Dick Peanut Gallery, Rat King and Grey Stache.
For delay and reverb I use the Earthquaker Devices Ghost Disaster.
This was all done on my Specter 6 string bass

It sounds good, but I got some issues with build quality.

Ryan is SOOPER nice, but I dunno :erm: .... some improvement could benefit him greatly.

Fuck dude.

Also, my rat tail is the first one, and it's survived being owned by Tigerbass, and now me (I use it at nearly every show I play) and its never ever broken or anything. And I'm not gentle on things. So, no real faults with build quality.

Yes, that's one of several items.

I wish I could say the same, I really do..... but I can't.

I didn't want to open a can of worms, I just think he could take good pedals and make them great.

Well, that's a real bummer, man. :(

I know it seems stupid but this is the ONLY thing stopping me from buying one of the Grey Staches
that are up at Prymaxe. The Footswitches are uneven too and I just know it would bother me every
time I looked at it.

I've ruminated on some of the comments made above...
Thank you for support to those who do.

I feel the need to clarify to those who made critical statements. Please understand that we are not a "big" company, nor do we claim to be. We do things on our own and as DIY as possible, so painting and drilling happens to vary from pedal to pedal. That's just how it is, guys. Aesthetically I understand that an uneven knob looks different than other pedals, but we do things on our own and that's just how it's going to be...every pedal we make is for a customer (minus storefront designs). We've received zero complaints from customers for any drilling or painting (done by my wife or son). We're very open to suggestions and would love to hear from you directly if you'd like to share...I don't think Tigerbass/Allen posted this to garner criticism for himself or the brand.

uneven knobs aside, in the near future, ryan's builds should look very nice on the inside. :thumb:
ryan's also a huge sweetheart so i'm sure if you anyone has any ideas about how he could do things better, just let him know... probably in an email or PM though. i can't speak for all of the other ILF builders, but for myself feedback is always appreciated, especially if it's helps one to grow and make things better for you guys.

Just to clarify, I wasn't being critical of the Fuzzrocious brand.
I have never owned a Fuzzrocious pedal and can't comment on the
sound or build quality. All the demos I have heard sound good and
everyone I know that has them love them.

That is why I was tempted to buy the Grey Stache in the first place.
As I stated in my first post, the reason I didn't was that the knobs
were uneven and it would annoy me every time I looked at it.
This is more a fault (OCD) of mine than it is a shot at Fuzzrocious.

I wish nothing but the best for you, your family and Fuzzrocious.

Also, keep up the good work on the demos Tigerbass.

All I know is, I hope I end up getting Tigerbass's Rat King in the future (THE PROPHECY MUST BE FULFILLED).

Or, I'll buy another Rat Tail, and put both of them in a feedback loop.

Not really a build quality issue....more of an aesthetic problem really. The inside of my fuzzrocious is pretty clean and it hs been throw around by my kids...no issues. If it helps think of that misalignment as a remider that it is a small ma and pa type of company and not a mass produced overseas factory product... It may unsettle you but it adds character.
