I've tried a Dunlop Q Zone out in a store. Not on bass, on guitar.
Are you looking specifically only at the Q Zone?
I had John Lyons build me a Peak Freq, which is pretty much the same thing. Haven't tried it on bass. I'm sure it or the Q Zone would work fine with a bass. If you get John to build you one, he may even be able to optimize it for bass.
