I would honestly recommend something more like the Roland SPDSX or the Octapad.
The SPDSX works well with samples and loading is easy, and there's a module built in both the SPDSX and the Octapad. You'll save a lot of space.
I've had a full electronic kit before (not an entry level one either, the Roland TD12 something) and it just didn't feel right. I had to go back to acoustic kits. However, the SPDS has stuck with me for years. I use it all the time for that extra kick of percussion in my loops.
