I'd say no, because it has less features and I personally don't like the idea of buying a frankenstein guitar.
Price to price though, it seems like a close enough deal, if that's what you want.

Seems about fair value wise, so if you'd use it more than the amp, I say go for it! OFFSETS FOR EVERYBODY!

If you like the way the guitar sounds & plays, then by all means, trade away.

that seems like a waste of money for a 15 watt amp. if it was a twin reverb or something, i'd consider, but it just seems like a waste of moneys

what will you play through outside the apartment?
if it's what it's claimed to be, it seems a fair trade. but that's a big "if." i'm dubious about the body. were they making Japanese JM bodies in the 90s with Tunomatics? the pickguard looks like it was made by a 9-year-old with a pair of scissors; i'd like to know what routing is under it, and if it's convertable to JM-style wiring which i'd want if i had a JM. i'd also want to know what wood the body's made of, and if that's a genuine Fender trem or what.

i think i've moved on from the jazzy and that bass has caught my eye. as for outside the apartment, i have no needs for a larger amp whatsoever at the moment.
