I was looking at getting one of these and was interested to know if anybody has tried a mx200/300/400 out?
200 seems easy to operate without delving through loads of sub menus and all that.
Interested in the reverb (gate and reverse) functions.
Seems better than boss or hardwire floor boxes?

Will give you some more sound options over the Hardwire/Boss pedals, presets, and 100% wet options on the basic models and get more the more silliness you pay for.

Not sure I'd get just one rack unit just for reverb, but I'm not a live and die by verb guy. If you already have/plan on using other rack gear, go to town!

If I needed more verb I'd consider one, but I already have a dozen rack units to deal with and what's one more. ;0

Thanks for the advice.
It seems many of the pedals I look at have something I am not so keen on about them and this looks good value and quite simple (no sub sub sub menu hell)
I have no other rack effects but was looking at the old Yamaha SPX90/900 etc or the Alesis verbs.
When looking at stomp boxes the either have limited options, issues (volume drop, no stereo etc) look crap or are too expensive.
I basically want to use this in conjunction with my board as my shoegaze section.
Thing is I am not sure of the sound quality vs the boss or hardwire pedals, or some of these old units mentioned above.
Anybody had an mx200 and can compare to these others? Seems good for under $200 or a little over $100 used?
Rack effects do not seem to be in vogue so there is not as much info online about them.

Sound quality should be far better than the Boss pedal, and equivalent and then some (depending on sampling rate, etc) vs the Hardwire.

Bang for the buck will be far better than the alternatives, but you'll have to deal with rack unit routing, foot control, etc.

i don't have experience with the Lexicon units, but own the Alesis MidiVerb II and Yamaha SPX90 and GEP50, the latter of which is essentially a guitarist-dedicated SPX90 with fewer memory locations, an effects loop, no level selection on the in/outs and some gnarly digital distortion effects added to the multi-EFX options. the reverse options on all these are far better than anything you can get on an affordable foot pedal. i'd assume the Lexicon is comparable if not better.

to control my rack gear i use a Tech21 MIDI Mouse, which is a simple scroll-and-select program selector i bought used for something like $60. older rack gear is fairly simple to program simply because gear didn't have the brain power to be too complex back then--it's only got so many places to edit and store things!--and the manuals are generally available online.

what's really nice is to use multiple rackmount verbs...i run the SPX90 in the effects loop of the GEP50 and use one to run the Early Reflections reverb program and the other to run the corresponding room/hall reverb, and the result is a wonderful spacious verb that's far more detailed than a single processor.

and BTW none of my rackmounts cost more than $75.

Yea, unless you're looking at Eventide or TC rackmounts, $100 is about the top end for way cool sonic mangling.

Thanks for the advice.
Bit the bullet on one. I found a used for £80 without cables plus dings but ended up getting brand new minty for just over £100 which seems good value considering uk prices of usually around £180.
I really like the layout of the switches and am keen to see what can be achieved with it. Need to know look at how to wire it up best in my set up.
