Pedalboards

Hi friends, I have a bit of an issue. I have about eight hopefully nine pedals soon on a piece of plywood for my board. I have a one spot and everything is free moving. It sucks. I don't want to velcro anything to the board because one of the issues is the board has no protection. Beer is constantly spilled on it and people stomp and unplug things by accident during our set. I'm trying to get my wires hidden and a great power source that will power what I have now and have room to expand. I've seen a few companies for boards but I just want the most efficient. Perhaps a case for traveling as well. What are some options? I need lots of power and space.

Eight-Nine pedals sounds perfect for the ever-popular Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+.

Re board itself I can't help you as my options in Australia would be much more limited & expensive than yours.

That said, I'd find something you can attach pedals to using the 'bike chain' method. Secure as you can get!

Hope that was some help at least!

Not sure whether you can get them overseas, but Gator

great deal for the prize, i'm SO happy with mine...a rad nylon softcase, large enough, with velcro implemented already... but you prolly can't fit a PP2+ underneath :( they're designed for mounting the gator supply...

in a situation like yours i think i'd make myself a Pete Cornish-esque enclosure box i could shut the pedals inside which was reasonably watertight with a lid i could raise to adjust stuff, and get or make a switch box outside the protective box to toggle the effects on and off. then you could velcro the pedals to the floor of the enclosure box. you could even run an extension off the 120V out on the power supply and have a light in there.

...well if You want something that protects the pedals PERFECTLY while transport... get an aluminum case by Warwick Rock Case. Isn't powered at all, isn't tilted either but never bothered me the least. Comes in a few diffrent sizes, I have a huge one 80cm X 50 cm (32" X 20") case that weights a ton and doesn't move an inch on stage if somebody runs to it. Works also as a bulletproof shield if You fear Mark Chapman Jr attends Your gigs.
