Sea Machine 9v or 12v???

Post by BigRedOne »

I got a Sea Machine a couple of weeks ago and started using it with a 12v supply (it replaced a T-Rex Viper on my board which only runs at 12v) - whilst i thought the Sea Machine was OK, i found a lot of the sounds to be just a bit too extreme and not very usable. I gave my board a bit of tidy today and switched the Sea Machine to 9v - Wow, everything is now much more focused an usable - especially the Dimension, Shape and Animate features - plus the whole sound of the pedal is a bit warmer.

My experience with pedals has always been that if there's a higher voltage option then the pedal sounds best at the highest voltage - but not so with the Sea Machine.

Anyone else tried it with the two different voltages?

Huh, I've never tried mine with 12V. Shame I don't have an adapter around to give it a go :(
