What are cheap but great sounding small humbuckers. Gonna make my 335 an upgrade.

I've got a set of the "seymourized" mini-humbuckers in a hollowbody. They're not particularly cheap, but they do sound great. I'm sure you could find stuff for half their price that sounds almost just as good. I'm trying to think of inexpensive stuff for you and nothing's really coming to mind. What's your price range?

You know, the only thing that comes to mind are those GFS mini-bucks, but I don't really know how they sound. So, I can't really recommend 'em.

Maybe someone who's got experience with 'em'll chime in?

Hmm the prices for cool mini-bucks are 80 dollars for one pickup. I think i'm gonna invest in pedals rather then replacing pickups

Yeah, I paid $80/pickup for my Duncans. Not cheap. (They're also too bright for me in that guitar. I should've gone w/ P-90s.)

If possible I'd try to play a guitar w/ those GFS mini-humbuckers in it before laying down any cash on 'em. Just to make sure they're what you want. Or you could always gamble and hope they're what you're looking for. Pedals are always good too.

Do you have regular humbuckers in the guitar now? Why do you wanna change pickups anyway?

It's pretty dark trough my epi valve. Two days ago I pretty liked the sound of the new squier jazzmaster vm. So my brain tells me to get the same sound with a 335 :). Stupid brain!

Yeah, you're not gonna get a 335 to sound like a Jazzmaster.

I'd try a bright sounding boost or an EQ pedal to add some sparkle to your tone. Less trouble than swapping out pickups.
