http://www.voxamps.com/us/guitars/apache/basically a souped up guitar with an onboard amp.
now hear me out on the potential there is here:
-onboard rhythms not a bad idea. just executed in a limiting way as i see it. it would be cool to see a way where you could switch between the rhythms quickly to make new ones
-with the onboard stuff, theres also a potential for an onboard looper.
now combine these two ideas: an onboard rhythm machine that can be adjusted beyond clean cut rhythm patches, and a looper in line of say the Li'l Looper, you could potentially have the untimate busking instrument.
but as they are, they're a kinda bad idea with some potential, imo.

Those are kind of cool, and I can see the appeal. That being said, I can't think of any reason why I'd ever want one.

Could see getting a teardrop with fried guts cheap, cutting a new pickguard, and just making an actual guitar out of it on the cheap.
Otherwise, not much need - if I needed a travel guitar for size etc I'd just get a Steinberger if taking the neck off a Fender bolt-on wasn't an option.

I could see someone using one for maybe a song or two for something odd or interesting or quirky but after that... ? I guess it all depends on if you get anything out of it and only you can answer that for yourself.. that said I have no interest in it myself...

The real stupidity is not simultaneously releasing a normal-ish version. No-brainer.

I like running the "rhythms" on my synth through fuzz pedals then playing a synth line with it. It usually adds some rhythmic variation to the fuzz sound, which is pretty sweet for sustained notes. That could be a cool way to use this as well. & I think that overdrive sounded pretty sweet.
But yeah, I don't see these selling a lot.

Allegedly they're only going to be distributed in Europe.
