Anyone else take notice of the new mini pedals by Mooer?

Post by ARC Effects »

Looks like tons of tiny clones of classic circuits (ts, triangle muff, phase 90, etc) and a few other ones worth noting like the 2 I picked up (pitch box and shimverb). The pitch box is a +2/-2 octave polyphonic pitch shifter with 3 modes (harmony, pitch shift, detune) and the shimverb is a 3 mode verb (room, spring, shimmer).

Shimverb can be heard here :

There were a few good reports of good things as far as the pitch boxes polyphonic pitch shifting and I'm liking what I hear of the shimverb. I'll post a review when they arrive.

Anyone interested in picking them up can contact Mooer directly as I don't believe anyone in the states has the pitch box yet. Did I mention they are all under $100?

I've actually never even heard of this company, but it they seem really cool. IWe'll have to see how their fuzz stacks up to the ILF family of Fuzz pedals!

The reverb sounds quite good! I'm impressed.

Definitely interested in this line now.

i did in fact notice them, but there weren't any demos when they first showed up on the Effects DB. given how crowded my board is now, i'm curious.

Small pedalboard footprint :thumb: Always a good thing. Cheap too.

I believe the Mooer production quality is on par with the Joyo and such cheap-ass-punk Chinese run of the mill pedals.

Some of those sound totally OK, if You're on tight budget, though everybody probably rather invested in something we know for a fact having not been built in a sweatshop conditions for less than acceptable minimum wage.

some of them are surprisingly decent, at least for a recorded-in-the-hallway-at-Muskimesse demo. that's certainly not the worst Muff i've ever heard, the tremolo sounds great, and i'd love to hear what the compressor sounds like.

The tremolo seems to be a clone of the Demeter Tremolo (which is one of the best sounding ones imho). Definetly interested.

Really want the Ana echo, and the pitch. If I could cop the sounds of the microPOG I'd be thrilled.

I did but figured they were gunna be pricey but holy shit I want some of these now I know I can get them for under £60.

The Chorus & Delay are actually proper analog instead of PT2399 based too!

Very interested in the Pitch box harmony mode... never really wanted a full boss one but a little one could be great.

Is that echo a DM-2 clone you think? Also, I wonder how the big muff actually sounds.

It's a late version DM-2 clone apparently, V3205 chip.

The Chorus is a CE-2 clone apparently as well.

They also have an Electric Mistress clone!
